Frank Corzine joined NLS in 2011 as Managing Partner, tasked with overseeing our Oregon operations. Under Frank’s leadership, in a few short years, Oregon expanded from one to four facilities and tripled in size. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Frank spent 15 years as a key leader at one of the largest landscape companies in the country before joining NLS. EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

bekki_hartdegen

Bekki Hartdegen

Region Office Manager

Office Location: Woodinville

Years in the landscape Industry: 4

Years at NLS: 4

How did you get into this industry? My parents owned a Property Management & Landscape Company in Sun Valley, Idaho when I was a child, so I used to help them out where needed (both in the office & in the field) and learned about the industry. I also worked at a Property Management company in Bellingham for 9 years, so working for a landscape company was not completely foreign when I started at NLS.

What does a Region Office Manager’s job entail? A Region Office Manager touches pretty much every aspect of the region they are responsible for. We are in charge of a large workforce, and the first port of call if something goes wrong, so we must know the business inside-out. We supervise Regional Administrative staff, help on-board new employees, prepare region reports, attend meetings, conduct local training sessions for administrative staff & solve customer issues. It really is essential to be approachable as well as knowledgeable.

What do you love about your job? It is so fulfilling to solve problems & be a resource for clients & other team members. Plus, I love the people I work with!

Did you grow up in Washington? I grew up in Sun Valley, ID, but was in Spokane, WA for my High School years. I spent my 20’s in Bellingham, WA until I moved to Bothell, WA. That is where I currently live, but will soon be moving to Pamplona, Spain with my husband Tim, for his work.

Do you have pets? Yes, we have two awesome rescue dogs. Tucker is a 5 yr old Pit Bull/Terrier/Dalmatian mix that we adopted about 2 ½ years ago. Whiskey is a 4 yr old Pit Bull/Terrier mix that we adopted about 3 years ago. They both will be coming to Spain with us.

What do you do in your spare time? I love to ski, snowshoe & hike. Tim & I like to take the dogs out for walks and explore the area. We also love to travel and are looking forward to exploring Europe while we’re living there.

COMMUNITY SERVICE & INVOLVEMENT

We know that it’s often the singular efforts of individuals that make a big impact in their communities. As a company, NLS takes the lead on several projects throughout the year; and we support and encourage the time and money our team members dedicate to organizations and issues that are important to them.

These are some of the organizations and activities we’re involved in:
  • Fundraising for Autism Speaks and JDRF
  • Coaching and mentoring for youth sports, theater and ministries
  • Board and committee service
  • Volunteering at food banks and women’s shelters
  • In-kind donations to seniors, schools and community cleanups

We’re always on the lookout for great people.

We are always interested in meeting people who have a passion for this business. So whether you’re interested in finance, human resources, operations or a specific specialty, please feel free to be in touch by sending your resume here:
